The Center for Material Culture Studies annually runs the Delaware Public Humanities Institute (DELPHI). University of Delaware MA and PhD students pursuing material culture-related projects are invited to apply for this fellowship. This past summer, twelve recipients participated in a two-week Institute, June 6 – June 17, 2016, during which they learned a variety of skills for engaging nonspecialists through public speaking and digital media.
Fellows are given $4,500 to facilitate uninterrupted research to bring material culture projects to fruition. This year’s DELPHI will take place from May 30-June 9, 2017. Applications are due by February 17, 2017.
