Courses

The Center for Material Culture Studies sponsors both undergraduate and graduate courses. These courses feature a strong material culture focus, often applying material culture methodologies and theories to a particular subject or theme.

With sixteen undergraduate and graduate programs that offer material culture courses, students can find out how material culture relates to their unique interests. Undergraduate courses provide the foundation for students to pursue material culture studies at the graduate level. Indeed, many undergraduate course professors simultaneously teach graduate material culture classes. The University of Delaware offers a total of nine material culture graduate programs.
