Oct. 1 – Dr. Jocelyn Alcántara-García’s TEDx Talk

The Center is delighted to share the news that Professor Jocelyn Alcántara-García will give a talk at the 2021 TEDxUniversityofDelaware event on October 1st. In her talk, “How to Improve People’s Lives by 50% or More, with Science,” she will share her experience as an art conservation scientist in the twenty-first century.

Professor Alcántara-García joined the Winterthur/UD Program in Art Conservation program in 2014 after working for about five years on interdisciplinary projects. Her research focuses on the Norwich textile trade between the late eighteenth- and early nineteenth century. Currently, she collaborates with a chemistry statistician to develop nondestructive scientific analysis for textiles.
