The Center for Material Culture Studies is so delighted to share the news that on February 24th, friends of CMCS will be giving important talks on the Speaks -Warnock Symposium: Self-Fashioning and the Black Portrait Tradition. In this symposium panelists Danielle Bing (UD History Graduate Student), Dr. Julie McGee (Associate Professor of Africana Studies & Art History), Dr. Curtis Small (Special Collections / Rare Books Librarian), and TK Smith (Curator & UD History/AAPHI Graduate Student) will join artist artist Tokie Rome-Taylor.
